Toni Braxton is a mother and singer/musician. She hit the music scene back in 1992 as a solo artist on LaFace Records. I was 14 years old at the time with a vibrant imagination about life and love. So, the fabulous Ms. Toni Braxton helped to fuel that with her hit song, Love Shoulda Brought You Home from the movie Boomerang’s soundtrack.
She released her first album entitled, Toni Braxton, in 1993. I loved every last song on that album and still listen to it to this day. There is just no timetable on great music and Toni continues to bring us great music.
In recent years, we have been able to see more of Toni via her hit TV show, Braxton Family Values. Along with her talented sisters and beautiful mother, Toni and her family brings us quality entertainment each season.
Toni Braxton, mother to two handsome boys, is an Inspiring Celebrity Mom for so many reasons. As mothers, she is someone we can look to when we need inspiration in raising our children. Not only is she a great mother but she has an amazing voice that is top tier. Really, she is one who stands out from the crowd with her unique voice. Toni is inspiration, beauty, joy, and so many more attributes too numerous to name.
4 Ways To Be Inspired By Toni Braxton
Toni is mother to two boys, Diezel and Denim. Being a mother is our most important job. Developing and nurturing other little humans while taking on the world is enough to be inspired by but there’s more.
Toni’s first album debuted in 1993 entitled Toni Braxton. Since then, she’s released eight other albums including one with Babyface in 2014 entitled, Love, Marriage & Divorce. I must also mention that she’s a gifted pianist. We get to see her play the piano on her show, Braxton Family Values, from time to time.
Through the good and the bad, Toni is living out her life’s work. How many of us become stuck in careers where we no longer feel challenged? You may not want to sing or play the piano, but there may be something more fulfilling that you want to spend time doing as a career. Maybe you want to own your own business. Stop putting that off and start working on it now.
Toni has been featured on film, TV, and Broadway. How I wish I could have witnessed her appear as Belle in Beauty and the Beast! Maybe one day we will get to see her in another role on Broadway. For now, we get to see her life’s story play out on Lifetime TV based on her book, Unbreak My Heart: A Memoir. As a fan, I’m excited that Toni gets to tell her own story from her perspective.
Here again Toni inspires us by being multi-talented. Since I’m not an entertainer, let’s look at this as being synonymous to multiple streams of income. I know that rings a bell!
Toni was diagnosed with Lupus in 2008 and is the Ambassador Chairperson for Lupus LA. According to Lupus LA, “Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease where the immune system cannot tell the difference between sick infected cells (viruses, bacteria, germs) and healthy ones. Normally our immune system produces proteins called antibodies that protect the body from these unhealthy cells. However, with lupus, the body gets confused and sometimes attacks the wrong cell.” Toni, whose son was diagnosed as autistic, is also an advocate for Autism.
We get beat, battered and worn but we get back up to see another day. Toni inspires us to have faith, acknowledge our problems, and then keep moving forward.
